what is the procedure of admission
to indian police service.
how can i apply for my officer post in IPS?

IPS - Indian Police Service is one of the greatest responsibility.

For the admission to Indian Police Service one has to surpass the two examination.One is Prelims and other is Mains.One who passed the Prelims is eligible to write the Mains examination.

The selected candidates after the Mains examination and interview round, there will be rigorous training for 1 year.They are trained in Indian Penal Codes,Criminology etc.

Once the training is completed the officers are alloted state cadre means they have to work within the state.

The trained officers are posted as Additional superintendent of police(ASP) which is a class 1 position.An officer can also go for deputation to Central Government Posts.

Applicants have to apply online on UPSC official website that is www.upsconline.nic.in.

Registration Part I:

Fill all the details regarding your Qualification, Age, and Address, Nationality, Marital status, Valid Email Id and phone number.

Submit it to get registration number.

Registration Part II:

Log in Again with your registration number.

Pay the required fees via challan or online payment (Debit/Credit card or Net Banking)

If you have paid fees via challan then enter your transaction details accordingly.

Choose your Examination center.

Take printout of online application for future use.

CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM 2015:-

Date of Notification:- 16.05.2015
Last date for receipt of applications:- 12.06.2015 (FRIDAY)
Date of commencement of Examination:- 23.08.2015 (SUNDAY)

CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM 2015:-

Date of commencement of Examination:- 18.12.2015 (FRIDAY)
