Hi friends, I am a little worried about my future. Actually I am interested to apply and get in as an Upper Division Clerk through IITM Pune recruitment. But I don’t know about the selection procedure. Can you help me to know about the selection procedure.

The selection of the candidates appearing for IITM Pune Upper Division Clerk recruitment, will be done on the basis of their performance in the final examination/merit. Those who are eligible will have to appear for a personal interview for the final selection.

The required eligibility to apply for the recruitment is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The upper age limit is 28 years.

So, if you have the required qualification you can apply for it.

The selection will be made after qualifying in the written examination and typing test etc.

** Total number = 100

** Subjects = General Knowledge, Office Procedure, Rules, etc., Mathematics, English.

** Duration = 2 hour

** Medium = English/Hindi

As per the official advertisement released for IITM (Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorelogy ) Pune, Upper Division Clerk recruitment, the final selection of the candidate will be based on the candidate’s performance in the Written Test.

Note : If the number of application, received in response to advertisement is large, it will not be convenient or possible to call all candidates for Written Test. Hence, the Institute may restrict the number of candidates to be called for Written Test to the reasonable limit through Short listing Process by adopting suitable criteria, like percentage of marks in Essential Qualifications as indicated by them in their application and/ or desirable qualification and/ or on the record of academic performance and/or relevant experience for the post prescribed in the advertisement as per the specific requirement of the Institute and/or any other benchmark decided by the committee constituted to screen the applications.

The final selection of Upper Division Clerk under Indian Institute of Meteorology recruitment will be based on the performance in Written Test only.

If large number of applications are received for the same recruitment, the preliminary screening of the applications will be based on candidate’s qualifying credentials against (i) the essential requirements specified above, (ii) date of birth (after relaxation of age as applicable), (iii) completeness of the application like providing the details sought, submission of the passport size photograph, and copies of the marks list, academic certificates, signature etc. (iv) desirable qualification as specified in the above. The candidate’s certificates should clearly specify whether he/she possess the knowledge / skills / requested in the essential / desirable requirements.

On the basis of screening of applications, shortlisted candidates will be required to appear in the written test. The written test will consist of both disruptive and objective type and topics from General Knowledge, Mathematics, Office Procedures, rules etc. and English.

Final selection will be done on the basis of score in the written test.
