Re: What is Fast Track Selection in Indian Air Force? What is the procedure for selection? Why candidates applying for Meteorology Branch are not have to do AFCAT exam?
Fast Track Selection (FTS) is a special recruitment process in the Indian Air Force for candidates who have already undergone training in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) or have received a 'C' certificate in the Air Wing Senior Division of the NCC. It allows these candidates to skip the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and proceed directly to the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) for further testing and selection.
The procedure for selection in the FTS includes a written test, followed by an AFSB interview, and a medical examination. The written test consists of questions related to General Knowledge, English, and Mathematics. The FTS is open to all NCC cadets who meet the eligibility criteria specified by the Indian Air Force. Candidates can apply for the FTS through the official website of the Indian Air Force. Regarding your query about why candidates applying for the Meteorology Branch are not required to take the AFCAT exam, it may be because the Meteorology Branch has a different selection process than other branches in the Indian Air Force. |
