Sir,i am 18 years old. And i want to join BSF commando. I am having height 177 cm, weight 57 kg & twelth pass out with 71%. Kindly tell me what medical fitness is required for the post?

Physical standards for the post of commando in Border Security Force:

Your height should be 165 centimetres to 175 centimetres.

Your chest should be about 80 to 85 centimetres.

Eyesight:

For worse eye: 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision
For good eye: 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision

Physical fitness criteria for BSF commando in Indian Army exam:-

For men:165 centimetres

For women:150 centimetres

OBC/SC/ST

Male: 160 centimetre and female:145 centimetre

chest :

Male candidate:84(+5cm)

Female candidate:79 centimetres(+5cm)

Eyesight:

For worse:Eye:6/12 or6/9

Distant vision:

For good eye:6/6 or 6/9 distant vision.

Physical requirements for BSF commandos :

Height : minimum 165 cm

Weight : minimum 60 kg

Chest : minimum 80 cm (with expansion of 5 cm)

Eye sight : 6/6 & 6/9 for distant vision in both eyes without correction i.e. without wearing glasses.

To become Commando in Border Security Force, the candidate should possess the following physical requirements.

* The candidate's height should be 165 cms for Male and 157 cms for Female.

* The candidate's chest should be in the range of 81-86 cms.

* The weight of the candidate should be 50 kgs.

* The candidate without glasses should have eye sight of 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision.

* The candidate with glasses should have eye sight of 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision.

* Candidate should not have any physically fit without any deformities.
