Re: Is B.Sc. course better than B.Tech for joining banking sector?
Yes, you are eligible to join banking sector even after graduation in any discipline, so you can pursue the course you want to pursue you.
As, you have bio stream in 10+2, so you can go with B.Sc course as you are not eligible to join B.tech course. To get banking jobs you have to qualify in entrance examination conducted by IBPS and SBI. For more information about banking examination visit at www.ibps.in |

Re: Is B.Sc. course better than B.Tech for joining banking sector?
To get job in Banking sector, you are required to get command over Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude Sections very well. So if you go with B.Sc course, then you are required to do more hard work in order to get job. But if you opt to go for B.Tech course, you will be molded in such a way that you can solve Quantitative based problems more as B.Tech is related with the measures, calculations. So based on this reason, I strongly suggest you to go with B.Tech rather B.Sc.

Candidates passed graduation in either B.Sc or B.Tech course are eligible to appear for banking examination and after qualifying in all stages of examination are eligible to get jobs.
But, being a student of Biology stream in 10+2 you are not eligible to pursue B.tech course. So, you should pursue B.Sc course. The age limit to appear for bank examination vary for different posts. |

No, there is nothing as such. Banking sector has nothing to do with B.Sc or B.Tech degree. You just need to prepared enough and have ideas about banking sector in order to crack bank exams and should be good in aptitude also. Any graduate can apply for banking jobs and no sch preference is given to B.Tech or B.Sc graduate.

I would like to suggest you to go for BSc Course as it is far more better than B.Tech course for a biology student to join in banking sector.
So, definitely you should pursue BSc course and side via side you should join a good institute which can provide you coaching for bank exam. |

Re: Is B.Sc. course better than B.Tech for joining banking sector?
If you are joining banking sector for PO and Clerk post then you should forget about your studies because it is mostly a bank job and there is no special posts according to your qualification.
If you are looking for specialist officer job in banks then B.Tech is a better option than B.Sc degree. B.Sc will make you eligible only for PO and Clerk posts whereas B.Tech will help you to get specialist officer as well as PO and Clerk. |
