Respected Sir, I have applied for the Himachal Pradesh Combined Entrance Test of this year. I would like to know about the procedure of counselling for this entrance test. I want to secure a BTech seat through this entrance test so please let me know about the counselling procedure asap.

For counselling, qualified candidates of entrance test will have to register for it. At the time of registering, candidates will also have to select their preferred course and college for admissions.

Allotment of seats will be done as per the merit, preferences selected and availability of seats.

Documents required for verification -
JEE Main 2020/ HPCET 2020 result
Proof of date of birth (10th standard certificate)
Mark-sheet from a recognised board.
Character certificate from the last attended institute
Domicile Certificate
Reserved category certificate (if applicable)
Income certificate (if applicable)
PH certificate (if applicable)
Kashmiri Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
Affidavit attested by the Executive Magistrate that the candidate is applying under "Beti Hai Anmol" scheme.

---Qualified candidates will have to register for the counselling of HPCET 2020. While registering, the candidates will also have to select their preferred course and college for admissions. Verification of documents will be conducted by the authorities. Allotment of seats will be done as per the merit, preferences selected and availability of seats. Confirmation of admissions will have to be done by paying the required balance fee. During counselling, 50% of the seats will be reserved for JEE Main 2020 qualified candidates while the remaining 50% seats will be reserved for HPCET 2020 qualified candidates...

Counselling procedure under Himachal Pradesh BTech Combined Entrance Test 2020:-

Firstly, 2nd rounds of counselling will be scheduled to be conducted for candidates through JEE MAINS 2020.

And if seats are still left, HP CET 2020 merit ranks are supposed to be considered.

Meanwhile, in the counselling candidates are supposed to Mark their choice of colleges and courses in decreasing order of preference.

Once the choice is frozen it cannot be changed later, hence they shall be marked very carefully.

Allotment of seats is done based on rank, availability of seeds, reservation norms, vacancies, and choices field.

Online registration process for the counselling of HPCET 2020 will start expectedly in the first week of June.

Candidates qualifying HPCET will be eligible to appear in counselling session after completing the registration process.

Candidates will be shortlisted for counselling based on the merit list prepared on the basis of scores obtained in HPCET or JEE Main depending upon the test they are applying through for seeking admission. HPTU will conduct the counselling for JEE Main qualified candidates from July 3, 2020 and for HPCET qualified candidates from July 8, 2020.

During the counselling, seats in engineering college of the states will be allotted to participating candidates as per their preference.

Candidate must produce some documents, in original, along with one set of photocopies duly attested at the time of HPCET Counselling 2020.
