Eligibility to study Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (BAMS) in JB Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata is a pass in Class XII or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English as core subjects. Candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Biotechnology subjects in the Class XII examination. Candidates should have completed 17 years of age for the admission to study BAMS in JB Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital, Kolkata.

The minimum eligibility required to to study BAMS in JB Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital is 10+2 with Physics, chemistry and Biology with minimum 55% marks from a recognized board. Relaxation of 5% marks is offered to the candidates belonging to SC/St category.


You should have attained the age of 17 years but should not be more than 21 years of age.

=> B.A.M.S. or Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery is an undergraduate Ayurvedic course and the duration of this course is 5 years.

=> The required eligibility to study BAMS in JB Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital is that the candidate should have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, Biology subjects from a recognized board.

=> The admission of the candidate will be done on the basis of entrance examination like All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Exam.

=> The final selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of Entrance examination score and 12th class marks.

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery(BAMS) is an undergraduate Ayurvedic course of 5 years.

The required eligibility criteria for( BAMS) in JB Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital is given below :-

The candidate should have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry,Biology subjects from any recognized board.

The admission of the candidate will be done on the basis of entrance examination conducted by All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Exam.

The final selection of the candidate will be done on the basis of Entrance examination score and the marks obtained by the candidate in intermediate exam.
