Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination from Science stream with PCM subjects from a recognized board are eligible to study BE (Metallurgical Engineering) in Government College of Engineering, Salem. Candidates are admitted to the BE (Metallurgical Engineering) in Government College of Engineering, Salem on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination. Duration of the BE (Metallurgical Engineering) in Government College of Engineering, Salem is 4 years.

You need to have class 12th qualification with PCM stream and a minimum of 50% marks from a recognized board of education. This qualification will make you eligible for JEE Main or any state level engineering entrance exam of your choice.

Admission will be possible, when you perform well in the entrance exam and seat is allotted through counselling based on your rank.

Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering is an undergraduate Metallurgical Engineering course.

Eligibility Criteria

1. First of all, the applicants must have passed 12th class with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a reputed board of education.

2. The admission of the candidate will be done on the basis of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions examination.

3. In order to appear in TNEA examination, the minimum age of the candidate should be 18 years.

BE(Metallurgical Engineering) in Government College of Engineering, Salem is 4 years long duration of undergraduate course, which is divided into 8 semesters. Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as main subjects from a recognized board to be eligible. Candidates are admitted based on marks obtained in the 12th class. Admissions are done through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) counselling guidelines based on marks obtained in class 12th examination.
