How to make my career bright after BSc in Microbiology? What course to do after BSc Microbiology?


I have completed my Bsc in Microbiology. But i dont want to do Msc. So, what other beneficial courses can i do after Bsc Microbiology? How to make my career bright after BSc in Microbiology? Courses available after completion of BSc Microbiology?

After completion of BSc in Microbiology course the most apt job is research field. You could choose in work in Laboratories, Organisations involved in the area of microbiology. Teaching is also an option available. It is advisable for you complete your masters first. If you choose teaching career then you will also need to clear the NET exam.

Pharma Researcher
Vaccine Researcher

After B.Sc in microbiology you can work as:-

Biomedical scientist.
Biotechnologist.
Clinical research associate.
Food technologist.
Healthcare scientist, immunology.
Microbiologist.
Nanotechnologist.
Pharmacologist.

After B.Sc in Microbiology, you can look for M.Sc degree in the same stream. M.Sc degree can be selected in subjects of Clinical Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, or Medical Microbiology. PG Diploma in Microbiology can be pursued. MCA is a good option for candidates interested in software field.

In order to make career in Microbiology, the B.Sc in Microbiology course alone cannot be helpful. So one must definitely go with higher studies when it comes to pursuing and find good job opportunities after successful completion of the studies.

Of course, there are good number of streams available in Master of Science but you are not willing to pursue M.Sc but I can say this is the only course you can go with for finding employment after completion of Post Graduation. Some of the available courses after B.Sc in Microbiology are listed below,

@ M.Sc in Applied Microbiology or

@ M.Sc in Microbiology or

@ M.Sc in Medical Microbiology or

@ M.Sc in Microbial Genetics and Bioinformatics

You may apply for relevant jobs in Microbial sector as Pharmacologist, Research Assistant, Food Technologist, Clinical Research Associate, Pharmacologist, Quality Assurance Technologist, Research Assistant, Veterinary Microbiologists, Physician Associate..etc.,

After BSc in microbiology can do for MSc degree in the same stream. MSc degree can be selected in subjects of clinical microbiology, industrial microbiology or medical microbiology. Post graduation diploma in microbiology can be pursued. MCA is a good option for candidates interested in software field. you can try for MBA or Ms if you are interested to have a job in management.

Procedure to make career bright after BSc in Microbiology is,

You can go for MTech courses by cracking GATE exam.

You are eligible to appear in GATE examination with BSc in Microbiology.

Clear GATE examination with more than 45% marks in secure admission in any NIT or IIT in respective branch.

You can also secure good job on the basis of score of GATE examination.
