Dear Sir, I want to get admission in IMU-Chennai for BTech(Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering) course. Can I know about the percentage which is required in 12th standard for getting admission and studying this BTech course in this university? Please tell me asap.

For admission in B.Tech Naval and Ocean Engineering, you need to have class 12th qualification with PCM stream with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized board of education. There is a relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category.

Admission will be on merit through IMU CET and your class 12th marks are only treated as a qualifying exam to appear for the entrance exam.

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects and minimum 50% marks in English in 10th/12th examination are eligible to study the BTech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) in the Indian Maritime University (IMU). For SC/ST candidates 5% relaxation in marks is given to Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. BTech (Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering) course duration is four years in the IMU.
