No, what have you heard is absolutely wrong. There is good scope for Computer (BCA & MCA) graduates in future in India and abroad as well. But take my important word, BCA alone would help you nothing unless you pursue MCA after completion of your Bachelor's degree. So do not stop with Bachelor's degree, as there is very good scope for MCA graduates. After successful completion of BCA and MCA courses, you will be equipped with knowledge of several programming languages such as Java, Oracle, .Net, C++, C, DBMS, Data Structures, SQL, HTML. You can find various job roles as Troubleshooter, Software Engineer, Software Application Architects, Programmer, System Analyst, Web Developer, System Developer, Technical Writer, Software Consultant based on working area in IT companies. You will be employed easily in Multi National Companies (MNCs) such as TCS, Infosys, CTS, Tech Mahindra, Oracle Financial Services, HP, Polaris, HCL Technologies, Wipro, Mphasis, Mindtree.

Being a growing field, there is good opportunities available for a person pursuing BCA and MCA as well. However, I suggest you to get some work experience after doing MCA and then enroll for a job in reputed companies as scope for a good position broadens if a person has relevant work experience along with the necessary skill sets. The BCA and MCA focus on Technical area. There is god scope of MCA course in both the Government and private sectors as well. After qualifying in BCA and MCA, one can get a job opportunity in the field of Software developer, Web designer, Systems Management, etc.

Apart from you can also work for any IT company big or small in various roles available. Depending upon your skill and capability you can get a good job with high salary package.
