I have complete my MA in Political Science and also MA in the same subject. Now i am interested in appearing for NET examination. So i need to know whether Political Science has any scope in NET exam or not?

Yes, there are many scope of political science in NET
examination:

political science has a very good scope in India. You may find employment opportunities in Law sector, media Houses, public Administration, political campaigns, politics, polling departments,Teaching, Test for IFS,IPS,IAS etc. We can say that there would be bright chances for political science graduates.

Yes Political Science has also good scope. You are eligible to write NET in this subject.

Eligibility criteria:-

Candidate must have passed their graduation with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized university.

Candidate must have passed their Post Graduate with at least 50% aggregate from a recognized university.

Candidate age must not less than 23 years.

Candidate upper age limit is not determined.

Candidate which are under reserved category get 5% relaxation.

There is nothing such as scope of political science in NET examination. You can however, become a teacher after qualifying NET and will be eligible to teach in various government and private Institutions.

So, I suggest you to study well and qualify the entrance examination and attain a good career ahead.

UGC NET has political science subject and you can surely choose this subject being a post graduate in same subject. Just make sure that you have got at least 55% marks in post graduation.

Political science is taught as a discipline in arts colleges. Therefore, it definitely has scope if you can crack UGC NET in this subject.

There is good scope of Political Science in National Eligibility Test. National Eligibility Test is conducted by University Grants Commission in June and December every year. Those who have done master's degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply for NET examination.

Only those candidates who score 55% marks in master's degree are eligible to apply for NET exam. Those who belong to OBC or SC/ST category are eligible to get 5% marks relaxation.

The upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years. There is no upper age limit for Lectureship.

The UGC-NET Examination is conducted twice a year in the months of December and June.
A candidate who had scored more than 50% in MA is eligible for the NET Examination.
So you need to start preparing for the Examination from now on as you are eligible to appear for the Examination.
