'Iam a first year biotech student studying in Sastra University(Tanjore, Tamilnadu).I have taken B-Tech Bio-Technology.i don't know where to apply for internship programm per semester,things required to get qualified for attending internships,how to select the field of interest etc...am interested in doing internships from my second semester ,but i don't know the norms..

1. Use internship finders, internship websites, and regular job sites to find internships. Also definitely check your school's internship website.

2. Take advantage of social media.

3. Go to job fairs at your school and others.

4. Network smarter.

5. Tailor your resume and interview style.

If you also wonder whether any internships are available for 1st-year students, the answer is- Plenty.
