Dear,
Friend...
You want to serve the nation, which is really appreciable.
In order to become a IAS [INDIAN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER], you must have to clear the civil service examinations, which is conducted by the UPSC [union public service commission].
The educational requirements for apply in this examination is a graduation degree from the recognized college in any stream.
The age limit for this examination is 21-30 years,.
there are 5 & 3 years of the age relaxations are also applicable for the SC\ST & OBC candidates respectively.

Hai,
IAS(Indian Administrative Service) exam is conducted by the UPSC once in a year.

Age criteria:

Age limit is 21years to 30years, 3yrs age relaxation for OBC candidates and 5yrs age relaxation for the SC/ST candidates.

So you are in under this age then you are eligible otherwise you arm not eligible to write IAS exam.

full details about IAS exam:
The procedure to become the IAS is as follows:-
You need to first clear the CSAT exam conducted by UPSC.
Then the eligibility for giving the IPS exam is as follows:-
Between 21-30 years for general category and 21-35 years for SC/ST/OBC.
A graduate from any recognized university.
4 attempts for general category and 7 attempts for OBC
unlimited attempt for SC/ST.

Age eligibility for IAS exam:-

1.candidate must have attend the age of 21 years and must not have complete the age of 30 years.
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC the upper age relaxation is 3 years.

This is the age limit to appear in IAS exam.

You are eligible for UPSC exam only if

(i) Age limits :


21-30 years as on 1.7.2011. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice).

(ii) Educational Qualifications :


Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification

And, yes you are eligible to give UPSC exam..

Dear pal,
for admitting the aspirants to the IAS the exam is conducted by the union public service commission. To apply for the exam one need to be within the age limit given below.
1. The aspirant can apply if they have completed 21 years of age.
2. The maximum age for applying for the exam is 30 for the general category. Bc and mbc aspirant can make application upto a age of 33. Sc and st aspirants can apply upto 35 years of age.
Within the age limit the aspirant can apply only for limited times. General category aspirant can make maximum of 4 times. Bc and mbc aspirant can make 7 attempts. But there is no restriction on the number of attempts for sc and st aspirant.
You need to have certain educational qualification in order to apply for the exam. The aspirant should have completed bachelor degree from a recognised university. The aspirant could have done degree from any discipline. You can choose your optional subjects from your degree course so study your subjects well and it will surely help you crack the exam.

You are eligible take IAS exam because the eligibility criteria for IAS is min.21 and max.30. You should posess any degree from recognised university.....

IAS (Indian Administrative Services) is basically for those who are firmly determined for dedication of themselves towards the own country.

If you are so interested for IAS,after being Engineers, Doctors, or Ph.d you can sit IAS exam conducted by UPSC.

Application forms will come out in the month of January.

According to the new exam pattern of the IAS exam

1) General-Studies paper which carries 150 marks

2) Optional paper which carries 150 marks.

Eligibility Criteria :-

1.Educational Qualification:To appear in IAS exam you should have a Graduation degree in any stream from a recognize University. If you are in final year you can also eligible to apply for the examination.

2.Age:The age must be between 21 to 30 years at the time of appearing of this examination. The age relaxation is also applicable for the candidates belong to reservation category.

No.Of Attemptes:

General Candidates - 4 Attempts

OBC Candidates - 7 Attempts

SC/ST Candidates - No Limits.

for appear in this exam you must have to complete your graduatiom in any stream froma recognized college,

The age limit -
21-30.for a general candidates.
21-33 for a OBC candidate

About IAS exam

Age limit:
21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing.
Maximum 30 for general category,
33 for OBCs and
35 for SCs/STs. Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit.
(The date of birth accepted by the Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate).

If you are belong to SC/ST, Then you will get Maximum 5 year Age Relaxation.
Maximum of 3 years if the candidate belongs to Other Backward Classes.
Maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir
And for Blind and Handicapped Candidates, Maximum 10 year age relaxation is allowed
The age Relaxation is not allow for General Candidates.
So, if you are General Candidates, And you are interested to apply for IAS exams, Then your age should between 21 to 30 years.

--> 21-35 years for the SC/ST.

--> 21-33 years for the OBC.

The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field.

General categories get 4 , while SC/ST get unlimited while OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam.

the UPSC has some strict protocol to follow regarding the students.

A general Category student you are eligible upto the age of 30 years, to apply for IAS
There are some relaxations as well offered for the candidates of SC/ST, OBC, J& K
please have a look below if you belong to any category::
OBC's - maximum 3 years relaxation in age
SC/ST- maximum 5 years relaxation in age
J&k - a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989
PD - a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates.
PD stands for physically disabled._for 40% and above disability
for general category number of attempts is limited to 4 attempts
for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST it is no limit.
