Hello Sir..
I am 24yr old. I have finished my B.B.M. Till what age I am eligible to take IAS exam? |

i want tell you that htere is age limit for IAS exam.you can apply for IAS within 21-30 year at the year of exam. you should also have bachelors degree of recognised university.I also want to tell you that no. of attempts also limited for the cadidate. OBEstudent attempts seven times and there is no limit for SC/ST student. |

If you belong to general category, the maximum age limit to appear for the exam is 30 years. If you belong to SC/ST category, the maximum age limit is 35 years If you belong to OBC, the maximum age limit is 33 years. |

IAS Age Limit
Age limit is different for different category candidates. They are as follows:- General Candidates:- Age Limit: 21 - 30 years OBC (Non Creamy Layer):- Age Limit: 21 - 30 Years SC/ST:- Age Limit: Relaxation of upto 5 years in the standard limit of (21-30 years). Physically Challenged, but belongs to general category:- Age Limit: Relaxation of upto 10 years in the standard limit of (21-30 years), depending upon the percentage of disability. Physically Challenged candidate must have at least 40% disability. Physically Challenged + Backward Community (SC/ST/OBC etc.):- Age Limit: Relaxation of upto 10 years in the standard limit of (21-30 years), depending upon the percentage of disability. Physically Challenged candidate must have at least 40% disability. you are absolutely for IAS and will be eligible upto 30 years of age if you comes under general category....
for SC/ST age relaxation is upto 5 years, and for physically challenged its 10 years. best of luck.... |

The candidate applying for the IAS exam should have age between 21 to 30 years. There is a relaxation in age for the reserved category candidates as given below: For SC/ST candidates If the candidate is belongs to SC/ST category then there is a relaxation in age of 5 years. For OBC candidates If the candidate is belongs to the OBC category then there is a relaxation in age of 3 years. For EX-SERVICEMEN If the candidate is EX-SERVICEMEN then there is a relaxation in age of 5 years. So the above age limit is required for the IAS exam for different category candidates. A general Category student you are eligible upto the age of 30 years, to apply for IAS There are some relaxations as well offered for the candidates of SC/ST, OBC, J& K please have a look below if you belong to any category:: OBC's - maximum 3 years relaxation in age SC/ST- maximum 5 years relaxation in age J&k - a maximum of 5 years if the candidate had been domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir during the period between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 1989 PD - a maximum of 10 years in the case of blind, deaf-mute and orthopaedically handicapped candidates. PD stands for physically disabled._for 40% and above disability for general category number of attempts is limited to 4 attempts for OBC it is 7 and for SC/ST it is no limit. |

The age limitation for the IAS exam is as follows:- --> 21-30 years for the general category. --> 21-35 years for the SC/ST. --> 21-33 years for the OBC. The minimum educational qualification required is to be a graduate in any field. General categories get 4 , while SC/ST get unlimited while OBC get 7 attempts to clear the exam. About IAS exam
Age limit: 21 years must be completed on 1st August of the year, which a candidate is appearing. Maximum 30 for general category, 33 for OBCs and 35 for SCs/STs. Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption from the prescribed age limit. (The date of birth accepted by the Commission is that entered in the Matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a certificate recognised by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, which extract must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
