ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CUSTOM OFFICER Recruitment to Indian Customs officer of government is done through civil services exam conducted by UPSC. So, to become a custom officer you need to appear in civil services exam. Candidate must be Completed a graduation degree from any recognized university with any discipline. Your graduation marks must be above 55% for custom officer exam. Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years. Age relaxation is provide only for SC/ST/OBC candidate .For Sc/ST candidate have age relaxation is 5 years and for OBC candidate it is 3 years. Qualities required for the position as a Custom Officer Age limit- 18 years old Indian citizenship Must possess a Vehicle license Ability to work flexible schedules Have reliable transportation Should never have used drugs of any kind Must pass an extensive background check Must be able to successfully complete all training required for the desired position Must be able to activate a radio or telephone equipment and console monitors Display an aptitude to cooperate genially and communicate with the community All the best.......... |

The aspirants will have to appear for the Civil Services Examination. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. The Civil Service Exam is conducted in two separate parts. They are the Preliminary and Main Exam. Age Limit 18 years to 27 years, Education Qualification You have completed graduation 55 % from any recognized university . And this exam is conduct by UPSC. The minimum graduation qualification is require to attain the upsc exam. And minimum 50% marks in graduation is require to attain this exam. Candidate must have completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University. Age should be between 19 years to 27 years for General category candidates. 3 years age relaxation for OBC category candidates. And 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST category candidates. Re: Qualification required to be a custom officer? hi friends, the Basic Qualifications required to be a custom offier: * Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing * Be at least 18 years old or minimum age required by your State * Be able to work flexible schedules * Have a high school diploma or GED * Have reliable transportation * Not use illegal drugs. You must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment). * Be able to pass an extensive background check, including criminal history, personal references, employment and education verifications, and Department of Motor Vehicle and credit checks if applicable * Pass a State licensing test if you will be driving a company-owned or client-provided vehicle * Be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if you were in the military * Be able to successfully complete all training required for the position * Be able to operate a radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors * Demonstrate an ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public thanks |
