what is the qualification required to be a custom officer an d the time period? where is training camps are available?

To make career as a Custom Officer, you must be Graduate from a recognized University/ Institute. Moreover, to get job in this field, you have to appear in Civil Service Examination which is conducted by UPSC organization in India. Those candidates who have been selected for the Custom Services are trained in Chennai while the training for the Central Excise Service is provided in various metropolitian cities in India.

The minimum qualification is you must be a graduate with atleast 50% aggregate.

training camp depends upon your performance in the selection procedeure and your own reference.

* Pass any State-required training or other qualifications for licensing
* Be at least 18 years old or minimum age required by your State
* Be able to work flexible schedules
* Have a high school diploma or GED
* Have reliable transportation
* Not use illegal drugs. You must be able to pass a drug test with negative results (except when undergoing documented medical treatment).

You have to be consistant and you need good GCSE results and you have to be very strict and know the laws and you also need to be good at questioning people plus you need to be not shy.

there is two ways to become a customs officer. one is by promotion from inspector of customs who will be appointed by the staff selection commission from which you have to opt for customs inspector in the application process itsle.if second one is a junior IRS officer will be appointed as Customs officer in big customs houses like mumbai etc, and the IRS as everybody knows, will be confered by the coveted Civil Services examination conduted by the UPSC......

and this exam is conduct by UPSC.

the minimum graduation qualification is require to attain the upsc exam.

for the custom officer you should you any graduation degree so that you can give the CS exam after passing you will get training and finally selscted as custom officer. best of luck

to become a custom office you must be a graduate and have to appear for UPSC civil service exam. And its there on the basis of your ranking you will be provided customs department.
This department attracts very much and its really a good job to do.

to become eligible for becoming custom officer, you have to do graduation first and then you will have to give civil service exam conducted by upsc. after that your training will be held in chennai.

To be custom officer you should be a graduate from recognized University. The age should be minimum 21 years and not more than 30 years. Candidates should have at least 50% in graduation. You have to appear for the examination which is conducted by UPSC.
