I am a M.Sc Chemistry student.
I want to do my PhD in Biochemistry.
If I do so am I eligible for post of Professor
in Chemistry as per UGC norms?

After completion of your Ph.D degree, you are eligible for Assistant professor in Chemistry.

Eligibility criteria fro Assistant professor post in Government college:-

1) If you have completed Ph.D from a recognized university then you are eligible for this post.

Or

2)If you have valid UGC NET score then you are eligible for this post.
