Eligibility to pursue PhD(Economics) in Periyar University is as follows.

Applicant must have completed M.A./M.Phil Economics with 55% marks.

1. The applicant must have completed post-graduation in relevant subject from any recognized university.

2. The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

3. The applicant of any age can pursue this course.

4. The applicant must be available for the duration of 2 years.

5. Good academic record is a plus point.
