Respected Sir, I want to pursue PhD from Manav Bharti University, I have done M.Phil Economic from Periyar University but my PG marks is 50% only. I want to know Am I eligible to pursue PhD with such criteria?

You have completed M.Phil course in Economics with 50% so you are not eligible for P.hD course.

Those candidates who have completed masters degree with above 55% marks from a recognized university are eligible for Ph.D entrance exam. For SC/ST candidate its 50% and above in masters degree.

There are no age criteria.

UGC recognized universities require 55% marks in PG degree to become eligible for Ph.D admission. Those who have M.Phil qualification are exempted from such percentage criteria. Hence, you can apply for admission.

Admission will be based on the performance in interview stage conducted by the concerned university. Just apply for admission, when there is an admission notification by the concerned university.
