Hi everyone, I am a student of MPhil in Archaeology. After completing my MPhil, I want to do PhD in History and Archaeology. Can I know my eligibility to do PhD(History and Archaeology) in Deccan College PG and Research Institute?

The candidates willing to do PhD(History and Archaeology) in Deccan College PG and Research Institute must have M.A. in A.I.H.C. & Archaeology or M.A. Archaeology or Masters in any branch of Archaeology with minimum 65% marks from a recognized university.

The admission of the candidates is done on the basis of merit and personal interview.

>> You must have completed M.A in AIHC & Archaeology or MA in Archaeology or Master's in any branch of Archaeology like Protohistory, Prehistory, Scientific Archaeology or Anthropology or Indology or Ancient Studies, Bioarchaeology..etc.,

>> Or M.Sc in Anthropology or Geology or Botany or Zoology or Geography or Chemistry or Physics.

>> Or candidates having MA in subject other than Ancient Indian History, Culture and/ or Archaeology listed above must have completed the M.Phil course in Ancient Indian History, Culture / Archaeology to be eligible.
