Entrance exam available to study PhD(Anthropology) in University of Lucknow?


Dear friends, I am looking forward to join University of Lucknow for studying PhD program in Anthropology. I would like to know about the entrance exam through which I can secure admission for this PhD program in this university.

For PhD, you need to qualify NET : National Eligibility Test, conducted by the UPSC.

This is an all India entrance test and thousands of aspirants apply for it.

As per your rank and preferences in NET, you will be allotted institutes to pursue the course.

Yes, the entrance examination is available to study PhD in Anthropology at the University of Lucknow. Admission selection will be on the basis of merit secured in RET (Research Entrance Test) followed by an interview. The educational qualification required is a candidate must have passed a master's degree in the relevant field with a minimum score of 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

As per the LU Ph.D. Ordinance 2020 the admission would be done on the basis of Research Entrance Test (RET) to be conducted by the University of Lucknow followed by an interview.

A candidate seeking admission to the PhD programme shall be required to have secured at least 50% marks in RET.

There will be 5% relaxation in marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates i.e. 45% will be minimum qualifying marks for OBC/SC/ST candidates.

The syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific.
