After qualifying the CSIR JRF test, the candidates will be informed after the result is finalized. And the fellowship will be awarded on receipt of necessary details of the qualifying degree examination.

The candidate will be informed about the Research Topic,Place of Work,The name of the Project guide,Supervisor name, and the concurrence of the institution to provide all the necessary details.

Generally the validity of the offer of this Award may be of ONE YEAR.So there by the aspirant can be expected to register for Ph.D degree with in the duration of the one year from the date of joining.Basically the stipend of a JRF can be of Rs.16000/-,this amount is only for the first two years.

Soon after completion of working as a Junior Research Fellow, then the stipend will be increase to Rs.18000/- per month for the third year and consecutive year. This stipend will be allocated based on the assessment of the Fellow’s research achievements. This can be decided by conducting an Interview.

This Interview will be conducted by the “ Expert committee “.It basically consists of the Guide,External member from outside of the institution,Head of the department,Dean,Faculty of science and many more.

Also the progress of the research work of Junior research fellowship will be calculated again at the end of the third year for up gradation. All the research fellows will be allowed accommodation wherever available.
