How to take MSc in Astrophysics skipping the combined course?
What colleges offer just MSc course in astrophysics or astronomy in India and allow students who studied engineering. What are the entrance exams that I might have to take. I've included the word just because, most colleges offer combined course of both MSc and PHD, or MTech PHD but I want to take just MSc

Re: How to take MSc in Astrophysics skipping the combined course?
There are a few ways to take an MSc in Astrophysics without taking a combined course.
One way is to complete a bachelor's degree in physics or a related field. This will give you the foundation in mathematics and physics that you need to succeed in an MSc in Astrophysics. Another way is to complete a bachelor's degree in a different field and then take a few prerequisite courses in physics and mathematics. Once you have completed these courses, you can apply to an MSc in Astrophysics program. Finally, you can also take a graduate certificate or diploma program in Astrophysics. These programs are typically shorter than an MSc program and can be a good option if you want to learn more about Astrophysics without committing to a full-time program. Here are some universities in India that offer MSc in Astrophysics: * Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore * Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai * Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore * Homi Bhabha National Institute, Mumbai * Aryabhatta Research Institute of observational Sciences, Nainital These universities offer both full-time and part-time programs. The admission requirements vary from university to university, but typically require a bachelor's degree in physics or a related field. If you are interested in pursuing an MSc in Astrophysics, I recommend that you start by researching the different programs that are available. You should also contact the admissions offices of the universities that you are interested in to get more information about the application process. |

1. The aspirant must have passed B.Sc degree with Physics and Mathematics or B.Sc degree with Mathematics and Physics or any other relevant undergraduate degree with Mathematics and Physics as the core subjects from any recognized University, college or institution.
