Council of Scientific and Industrial Research conducts examination for aspirants to award them with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and to determine the eligibility for Lecturer ship.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidate with Masters degree in the stream of science from a recognized University is eligible Need to have Minimum 55% in academics Candidates with PhD in science stream are also eligible Age Qualification: Candidate should be more than 25 years of age 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST/BC Candidates Entrance Examination consists of 200 questions from, General Science Research Aptitude Technical and Scientific conceptual questions Reference books for CSIR UGC Life Sciences: Evolution by Monroe W. Strickberger Fundamentals of Molecular Biology by Pal J.K. and Saroj Ghaskadbi, Publi Introduction to Biological Membrane by D Chapman An Introduction to Embryology by B I Balinsky Comparative Vertebrate Endocrinology by P.
