NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted twice time in year by UGC.

Those candidate who have completed masters degree from a recognized university are eligible for NET exam. General and OBC candidates should hold 55%and above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate its hold 50% above in masters degree.

Age criteria for NET exam:-

For JRF Post :-Your age should be below 28 years.

For Lectureship Post :-There is no age criteria.

Council of Scientific and Industrial Research conducts examination for aspirants to award them with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and to determine the eligibility for Lecturer ship.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidate with Master’s degree in the stream of science from a recognized University is eligible
• Need to have Minimum 55% in academics
• Candidates with PhD in science stream are also eligible

Age Qualification:

• Candidate should be more than 25 years of age
• 5 years age relaxation for SC/ST/BC Candidates

Entrance Examination consists of 200 questions from,

• General Science
• Research Aptitude
• Technical and Scientific conceptual questions

• Fundamentals of Molecular Biology by Pal J.K. and Saroj Ghaskadbi, Publi
• Introduction to Biological Membrane by D Chapman

• Developmental Biology by R. M. Twyman
• Molecular and Cellular Biophysics by Meyer B Jackson
• Molecular Biology by D Roberties
