Pattern of UGC NET 2020
Dear friends, I want to apply for UGC NET to pursue PhD program this year. Can I know about the pattern of this entrance exam because I don't know about this? Please help me to know about the pattern of this eligibility test.

Exam pattern of UGC NET 2020:-
The exam pattern comprises of two papers which are compulsory to attend the final selection. For paper 1 there will be 50 questions each comprising of two marks thus marking the total marks 100. The duration of this paper is 1 hour and it is conducted in two shifts - morning and evening. |

According to UGC NET exam 2020 pattern, the test will consist of two papers that is paper 1 and Paper 2.
Paper 1 is common to all and it will be primarily designed to test the general awareness, comprehension, divergent thinking and reasoning ability of the aspirant. Paper 2 will be based on the subject selected by the candidate. Examination will be held in a single 3 Hour session and there will be no break between paper 1 and Paper 2. |

Pattern of UGC NET 2020:
Entrance test is going to be organised in online CBT mode. Number of papers will be 2. Number of questions will be 150 that is 50 in paper 1 and hundred in paper. Question paper can contain multiple alternative kind questions. Question paper are going to be obtainable with the medium language of English and Hindi. Total duration will be 180 minutes. |

Exam mode - The entrance test will be organised in Online CBT mode. Number of Papers - there will be 2 papers for the exam - paper I and paper II No. Of questions - 150 questions Type of questions - MCQ Total marks - paper I -> 100 marks Paper II -> 200 marks For every correct answer, 2 marks will given. No provision for negative marking. |

Examination Mode - Online Computer Based Test Number of Papers - Two Papers for the examination Paper I and Paper II Number of Questions - 150 (Paper I - 50 and Paper II - 100) Type of Questions - Multiple Choice Language - English and Hindi Duration - Paper I - 1 hour and Paper II - 2 Hours Total Marks - Paper I - 100 Marks and Paper II - 200 Marks Marking Scheme - For every correct answer 2 marks and there will be no negative marking. The brief description about the pattern of UGC NET examination is given below :-
* The examination will comprise of two papers : Paper I and Paper II. * Paper I will be of 1 hour with maximum marks 100 consisting of 50 questions of 2 marks each. * Paper II will be a subject specific paper of 2 hrs with the maximum of 200 marks consisting of 100 questions each of two marks. There is no negative marking for wrong responses in any paper and the overall result will be based on the performance in both the paper taken together.
