Hello friends, I just want to get admission in Uttarakhand Open University for studying PhD in History. I would like to know that I have to appear in UGC NET for this particular PhD course admission at this university? Please tell me about this asap.

No, you don't have to appear in UGC NET for admission in PhD (history) in Uttrakhand Open university. Following eligibility needs to be fulfilled-
* Must have masters degree or equivalent degree in relevant subject with minimum 55% marks from a recognised university.
* Must have attained 50% marks in bachelor degree from university recognised by UGC/ AICTE/ NCTE.

Selection is done on the basis of UCRET entrance exam followed by interview.

Applicant will get admission on merit basis of Master degree.
