I want to do PhD in Sanskrit want to appear in entrance exam so kindly inform me about the Sanskrit syllabus for the entrance exam

Syllabus includes topics like

Vedic Literature
Sahitya shastra
Sanskrit poetry
Sanskrit drama
Sanskrit prose
Indian culture
Indian philosophy
Sanskrit grammar
Research methodologies / aptitude
General Knowledge related to sanskrit

Those who have completed masters degree in related subject with atleast 55% marks from a recognised board are eligible for admission.
Admission to the program is granted on the basis of either university level entrance exam or National level entrance exam .
Once the candidate clears the entrance exam, they are then called for interview.

Syllabus for PhD in Sanskrit entrance exam :

Sanskrit Literature: The exam will cover the history of Sanskrit literature, including the different periods and genres of Sanskrit literature. You may be asked to identify important literary works, authors, and their contributions.

Sanskrit Grammar: The exam will test your knowledge of Sanskrit grammar, including the various declensions, conjugations, sandhi, and other grammatical rules.

Sanskrit Language: The exam will test your ability to understand, speak, read, and write in Sanskrit. You may be asked to translate Sanskrit texts into English or another language, or vice versa.

Vedas and Upanishads: The exam may cover the Vedas and Upanishads, including their historical context, major themes, and philosophical concepts. You may be asked to analyze and interpret specific passages from these texts.

Indian Philosophy: The exam covers Indian philosophy, including the major schools of thought such as Vedanta, Samkhya, Yoga, and Nyaya. You may be asked to identify important philosophical concepts and their significance.

Epics and Puranas: The exam covers the epics and puranas, including the Mahabharata, Ramayana, and other important texts. You may be asked to identify important characters, events, and their significance.

Sanskrit Commentaries: The exam covers Sanskrit commentaries on various texts, including the Vedas, Upanishads, and other important works. You may be asked to analyze and interpret specific passages from these commentaries.

Sanskrit Prosody: The exam tests your knowledge of Sanskrit prosody, including the various meters and forms of Sanskrit poetry.
