Is there any entrance exam available to study PhD(Electrical Engineering) in IIT-Hyderabad?


I have an interest to study PhD(Electrical Engineering) in IIT-Hyderabad. Can anyone of you kindly tell me that is there any kind of entrance exam I have to appear for studying this course in this institute? Kindly let me know asap.

Yes, candidates with a valid score in GATE are eligible for direct admission to PhD(Electrical Engineering) in IIT-Hyderabad. However the department reserves the right to call (or not to call) the candidate for interview after screening the applications.
Candidates must have passed M.Tech/M.E/M.S. degree in in Electrical Engineering from any recognized university to be eligible for PhD(Electrical Engineering) admission in IIT-Hyderabad.
