JRF stands for Junior Research Fellowship. For getting JRF in your field, you need to qualify CSIR NET which is conducted twice in a year.

For this exam you need to a Master's Degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks from a recognized University. There is relaxation of 5% marks for reserved category candidates.

You can apply for JRF on the basis of your Master's Degree but those who have a CSIR NET score will be preferred for it. Therefore, if you want to get JRF in your field, then try to clear CSIR NET.

The notification for JRF in your field of study will be announced from time to time and you have keep track of it. Application procedure is simple and you just need to apply as per the notification. It can online or offline application depending upon the Institute.
