Hi everyone, I just want to know about the admission criteria for studying MSc(Plant Biotechnology) in Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Biosciences and Technology? Kindly let me know about the admission criteria because I am interested to study this course in this institute. Thank you!

The admission procedure to study MSc in Plant Biotechnology at Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Biosciences and Technology is given below.

==> Candidate must have done Life Science graduation in Biotechnology/Botany/Agriculture/Agri-biotech/Genetics/Microbiology & Horticulture with minimum 50% marks for general category and 45% marks for reserved category from a recognized university.

==> Admission will be done on the basis of merit.

==> Candidate can buy the prospectus from the institute in which admission form is available.

==> Fill all the required details correctly and attach all the relevant documents.

==> Pay the application fee of around Rs.500 for open category and Rs.350 for reserved category.

==> Submit the application form at the institute office.

The admission to the M.Sc(Plant Biotechnology) in Mahatma Gandhi Mission Institute of Biosciences and Technology is on the basis of scores of Joint Admission Test (JAM). You must have passed graduation in Science with Botany as a subject or B.Sc in Biotechnology or equivalent with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.

Candidates must have passed HSC/10-2 or equivalent examination with Science stream with minimum 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category) from a recognized board.

Candidates must have qualified gradation n any of the Life Sciences subject;
Biotechnology/Botany/Agriculture/Agri-Biotech/Genetics/Microbiology/Horticulture from any recognized university with at least 50% marks (45% for Reserved Category).

Admission criteria to pursue M.Sc. in Plant Biotechnology course:
1. You must have a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology/Botany/Agriculture/Agri-Biotech/Genetics/Microbiology/Horticulture followed by HSC Science with minimum 50% marks.
2. You must have a scorecard of either IIT JAM or ICAR AIEEA PG Entrance Examination.
