Can I apply for PGT post after M.Sc in physics?
I have completed M.Sc in physics but my honours in B.Sc is Chemistry. Am I eligible to apply for PGT post? Please, do let me know that in detail.

To apply for PGT post in a school, a candidate must have completed Masters course in that particular subject and also Bachelor of Education from a recognised University. Then you have to appear in the examination that is mainly conducted to recruit PGT teachers in the schools.

Eligibility Criteria for the post of Post Graduate Teacher after M.Sc in Physics:
There are several disciplines included under Post Graduate Teacher (PGT), they are * Physics * Chemistry * Hindi * English * Geography * History * Mathematics * Economics..etc., The basic educational qualification required is "Master's Degree" from a recognized university with minimum 50% marks. For PGT (Physics), you must have completed Master's Degree in * Applied Physics * Physics * Nuclear Physics * Electronics..etc., As you are done with M.Sc in Physics, I can say that you are certainly eligible to apply for the post of Post Graduate Teacher. Maximum age must not exceed 40 years in order to be eligible. |

Yes, definitely you can apply for the post of PGT after the completion of M.Sc in Physics.
Candidates those who have completed their Masters degree in the relevant field from a recognized University with a minimum of 50% of marks in it are eligible to apply for the post of PGT. Candidates must have a B.Ed degree also along with 2 years of years of teaching experience in order to apply for the above mentioned post. |
