Course structure of MS(Anaesthesiology) in AIIMS-Jodhpur?


Hi everyone, I want to know the course structure of MS(Anaesthesiology) course available in AIIMS-Jodhpur. Please let me know about the structure of this course as soon as possible. Waiting for your response!

The syllabus and course structure of M.S in Anaesthesiology is given below:-

The duration of the course is 2 years and can be pursued after MBBS course.


First Year Syllabus is given below:-

:-Principles of physics and use of equipment in anesthesia
:-Pharmacology
:-Biochemistry
:-Documentation and medico-legal aspects of anesthesia
:-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
:-Neonatal resuscitation
:-Introduction to Research methodology, Random clinical trials etc. and basics of biostatistics
:-Preoperative assessments and medication - general principals.
:-Introduction to anatomical physiological, pharmacological and biochemical aspects of pain and pain managemen
:-Introduction to artificial ventilation
:-Oxygen therapy
:-Introduction to the operation theatre, concepts of PACU and ICU
:-Recovery from anesthesia
:-Shock – pathophysiology, clinical diagnosis and management
:-Pulmonary function tests - principles and applications
:-Specialty Anesthesia
:-Principles of pediatric anesthesia, management of neonatal surgical emergencies, RA in infants
:-Basics of orthopedic anesthesia
:-Day care anesthesia
:-Rural anesthesia - anesthesia for camp surgery
:-Anesthesia outside the OR and in special situation
:-Principle of management in Trauma, disorders and mass casualities


Second Year :-

:-Relevant anatomy of each system
:-Physics of equipment used in anesthesia
:-Sterilization of equipment
:-Computers, Utility, computer assisted leaning and data storage. Computerized anesthesia records
:-Pharmacology of drugs used in cardiovascular, respiratory, endocrine, renal diseases and CNS disorders
:-Acid-base and electrolyte balance
:-Interpretation of blood gases and other relevant biochemical values
:-various function tests and basics of measurement techniques, ECG
:-Pediatrics — Prematurity, Physiology, anatomy of neonate vs. adult
:-Principles of one lung anesthesia
