I have valid GATE score. I like to study in University Departments of Anna University, CEG campus. Am I eligible for GATE stipend?

The eligibility criteria for a GATE stipend:

1. Qualify in GATE: You must have a valid GATE scorecard, which is obtained by qualifying the GATE examination. The GATE exam is conducted annually by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

2. Admission to a Postgraduate Program: You should secure admission to a postgraduate program at a participating institute recognized by the Ministry of Education (previously Ministry of Human Resource Development), Government of India. This includes M.Tech, M.E., or Ph.D. programs in engineering, technology, architecture, and relevant disciplines.

3. Institute Criteria: Each participating institute may have its specific eligibility criteria for providing the stipend. Typically, the institute sets criteria such as a minimum qualifying GATE score, academic performance, and availability of stipend slots. You should consult the institute's admission brochure or website to understand their specific requirements.

4. Reservations: The GATE stipend may also have reservations or relaxations for certain categories, such as SC/ST (Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes), OBC (Other Backward Classes), PwD (Persons with Disabilities), or economically backward sections. These reservations are in accordance with the government norms and vary based on the institute.

Candidates who have qualified GATE Exam and have taken admission with the GATE Score will be eligible for a stipend of INR 12400 per month during the course.

The eligibility criteria for the GATE stipend are as follows:

Must have qualified the GATE exam with a valid score.
Must be admitted to a full-time M.Tech./M.Arch./M.Pharm. program in an AICTE-approved institute.
Must not be receiving any other scholarship or financial assistance from any other source.
Must be a citizen of India.

GATE scorecard.
Admission letter from the institute.
Proof of citizenship.
Bank account details.
