Candidates are admitted based on score obtained in the state level entrance examination*PGCET, conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority.

Yes, The National Institute of Engineering offers MTech (Hydraulics Engineering) course. Candidates who have passed BE or BTech or equivalent examination in the relevant stream and secured at least 50% marks in BE/BTech taken together in all the subjects for all the years are eligible to study MTech (Hydraulics Engineering) course. Candidates are admitted to the MTech (Hydraulics Engineering) course in The National Institute of Engineering through a valid GATE score or Karnataka PGCET conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
