Am I eligible to become a Pilot with a weak eyesight (-2.5)?


Respected Sir, I want to become a Pilot but I have a weak eyesight. I weak lenses of power -2.5 so I want to know am I eligible to become a Pilot with a weak eyesight (-2.5)? If yes then please tell me the procedure.

No, I am very sorry to say that you are not eligible to become a pilot with a weak eyesight that is -2.5. You are not allowed to do any kind of surgery also. You must have a normal eyesight of 6/9 in each eye and 6/6 in both the eyes. This may be bare eyed or you can use glasses or lenses.

You can wear lenses to correct your vision, but that also should not exceed -2 diopters. As you have an eye power of - 2 diopters, so you are not eligible to become a pilot.
