Can I get job in TCS if secured 4 marks less to reach 60% in 12th and achieved in IBM Technical contest?


Hello,
I am 4 marks short of 60% in 12th. Will I be eligible for getting job in TCS?
Yes I know the cutoff is 60% and I have 62% in B.Tech and 81% in 10th.
I have won the Technical contest conducted my IBM. Apart from this I have done 5 projects in addition to my final year project just as a compensation.
Am I eligible now? Will all this be considered for selection?

Yes, you are having a lot of Talent and you have won a lot of technical Award. But, you are not fulfilling the criteria to sit in any of the campus drive organized by the company. SO, you can have only the walk-in and the scheduled interview.

No, you are not eligible for TCS recruitment because your 12th standard marks is not above 60%.

Required percentage of marks throughout the studies for TCS is,

TCS= 60%

You should not have any pending backlogs.

More than two years gap throughout the studies are not eligible for TCS recruitment.

I am extremely sorry to state you are not eligible for TCS recruitment drive. This is because you do not fulfill the basic eligibility criteria of 60 ℅ in your 12th standard. All the extra qualifications or extra curricular work will not count as a compensation against this. Even a percentage of 59.9 is ineligible and TCS is quite strict about this. So try for other companies wherein the eligibility criterion is below 60℅.
