Can one year drop in engineering affect my career?
sir i am student of E&TC engg. in govt. college.so in second year i gets failed due to large backlogs.so my question is that can i get job in good companies like in good core companies,IT,psu's?.my %'s are in 10th-87%,12th-86%,FE-56%.i decided to study hard i also preaparing for GATE.What is my future.can i seat for campus placement in college? I heard that some mnc companies are not hiring such students, i they hired gets low salary? please reply soon....

See taking just one year drop will cause you no harm in the btech career as drop effects the placements scenario when it is for more than one year. As the preference in the placements is given according to the fresher's and then droppers. If you get a good college after one year drop then it would do no harm.
