The paper of Operating Systems is a part of the course of the sixth semester of Biju Patnaik University of Technology, B. Tech in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation. The paper of the exam is of three hours duration and is a normal paper pen based exam. The maximum marks that can be scored in this paper are 70. The paper is a conventional paper, with questions ranging from short answer type to long answer type. The University normally sets eight questions in this question paper. Question 1 is a mandatory one. All 10 sub-questions of this question has been given 2 marks weightage thus making this section to be of 20 marks. All leftover questions are long answer type questions with 10 marks weighatge. There are usually two sub-questions within the questions, either each carrying 5 marks or one carrying 6 marks and the other carrying 4 marks. The paper may contain numerical problems too.
