The IETE is one of the leading institutes for engineering in the country so it is needless to say that they expect high standards. The result is that the large number of students taking the exam must be tested on several grounds to test their innovative skills as well as their knowledge of the subject. The paper thus deals with the different modes of the signal transfer in different types of the electronic equipments and how can their effectiveness be increased. Thus a sound knowledge of the circuitry and the different modes of signal transfer are required. The paper is of 100 marks and a total time of about 3 hours is given to the candidates taking the exam to finish the paper.
