The supplementary Mathematics paper will be constructed keeping in mind specific mathematical application in biotechnology. The supplementary paper will contain questions related to pharmaceuticals, agriculture and also biological disease treatment. The paper has various mathematical concepts which will be connected to each field and hence, the student is advised to familiarize oneself with each of the concepts. Questions can be from basic concepts in this course such as unit operations of extraction and comparison, leaching of concepts like biodegradation and, biosynthesis. There will also be mathematical equations based on the NTP conditions, Hagen-Poiseuille equation, principles of rheology, continuous types of fluidization, hydrolysis, absorption, adsorption, incompressible fluid, stagnant temperature etc. Questions on Mach Asterisk condition, number, positive displacement, numerical problems will also be present as well as different applications on ways to solve them. Equations on the classification of Biotech industry, Bingham and Newtonian fluids, Newton’s law of viscosity as well as different types of pumps, and reduction will also be part of the paper.
