The paper on VLSI design is based on basic concepts of the subject like logical gates, CMOS testing, circuit designing etc. It is a 3 hours paper with a total marks obtainable being 80.There are 8 questions in each set all carrying the same marks and one needs to attempt only 5.All the questions carry 16 marks and makes a total of 80.All are essay type questions and there are 4 sets of question papers. Books one can refer to are Essentials of VLSI circuits and systems – Kamran Eshraghian or Principles of CMOS VLSI Design - Weste and Eshraghian, among other books.
