Mathematics is a compulsory subject in all the branches of Engineering. In the field of Electrical Engineering, the essence of mathematics lies in solving every problem. So like other colleges, Kurukshetra University also has included Mathematics in their basic course structure. This subject is in the third semester of electrical engineering department and is very crucial for the further semesters. The course deals with problems about Fourier series, linear programming, integral calculus, probability. The difficulty level varies from student to student. The course comprises of topics which are applicable for further semesters and can be applied to solve problems in the subjects of electrical engineering department. Kurukshetra University made the fact pretty evident by including mathematics in the earlier semester is how important the subject is for further education. It is well understood from the topic that, the subject is applied in electrical machines, measurements, circuit theories and other electrical subjects. The paper has total four Units and 8 questions. Students need to answer 5 questions by selecting at least one from each unit. 20 marks for each question sums up to 100 marks with a time of 3 hours.
