Kuvempu University, M.A. in English, The nineteenth Century (Paper-III) Paper is a descriptive paper. Questions in the paper are 7 and 5 are to be attempted from it. The questions are of equal marks in the paper. The paper contains questions from the poetry and writing way of that time. Total marks in the paper are 100 and time allotted for the paper is 3 hours only. Students will find some common questions from Dickens “Hard Times”, Shelley’s “Ode to the West Wind”, J.S. Mills’ “On Liberty”, Coleridge’s “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” etc. Hence, students are adviced to go through these topics very nicely so that they can answer any question set from these topics.
