Kuvempu University is a university that offers course in B.sc, B.Li.Sc, B.A, B.com, B.sc, BBM and various others. The university is situated in Shankaraghatta and does an excellent job when it comes to infusing the students with knowledge that is related to the course they study and also beyond. When B.sc students of the university get to the third year, they have to study chemistry and have to answer three papers. Here we are discussing about chemistry paper-iii.

The subject

B.sc students have to give a lot of emphasize to this subject. The subject is purely chemistry and does not relate to any other areas. The subject deals with both physical chemistry and organic chemistry in depth. Importance is for physical portion that the organic part.

Arrangement of questions

The paper has four sections and all the four have to be attempted by all the candidates. The candidates are asked to present equations and diagrams as required. Ten questions are present in Section A and all of them need to be answered. Seven questions will be printed in section B and any five have to be answered. Same is the format of section C.  Three of the four in section D have to be answered. Few questions within a section consist of sub questions. Numerical problems are of supreme importance.

Format of marks and time

The paper is for 85 marks and a candidate has to ensure to score 35% if he or she is to pass the exam.  The marks contributed by each section are 10, 15, 30, and 30 respectively.
