The paper is divided into two broad sections. The theory part of the paper consists of 80 marks and the time limit is two hours and forty minutes. The objective part of the paper, containing multiple choice type questions has 20 marks and the time allotted is twenty minutes. Some of the questions are: explain the detail the duties and responsibilities of a medical record officer in running a good medical record department, list out the minimum requirements for completion of medical records, explain the legal potentials of medical records, describe the methods for qualitative evaluation of medical records and the role of the medical personnel in this, give the formula for calculation of bed occupancy rate, average length of stay, hospital death rate, how is the computing of the daily inpatient conducted and what are its uses for the hospital administration, what are the four components of management and their respective functions.
