Distance education is provided by the Tamil Nadu open University, which is based on the same principles on which the Indira Gandhi National Open University or IGNOU is based on. The courses offered by the University include most of the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Diploma Courses, in various subjects, and its domain is the state of Tamil Nadu. A full mark of 75 is given to a paper of B.Com first year with a time duration of 3 hours. Two parts A and B are been divided in the paper. 3 questions of 5 marks each needs to be answered in Part A which consists of 5 questions in total. Out of 7 questions each of 15 marks in Part B 4 needs to be answered to make the total to 60 marks from part B and 15 marks from part A.
