VMOU M.A. in Education Psychological Basis of Education (MAED-02) Papers are based on fundamental concepts in education like Educational Psychology and its scope and nature, how it is needed by teachers to understand the motivations of the students, the various methods of studying psychology with the advantages and disadvantages of each method and finally deciding which is the best method to follow, the role of heredity and social environment in shaping the development of an individual, the need for learning, its various theoretical and educational implications and necessities, the reasons behind lapse of memory and bouts of forgetfulness in individuals, how a teacher can help, with certain techniques, their students increase their power of retention and so on. This aim of this paper is to inculcate knowledge of the human psychology and contour educational policies on the basis of this understanding.
