Education and Career Forum

VMOU or Vardhaman Mahaveer Open University was founded with the objective of providing a flexible system of education to the people both inside and outside the state of Rajasthan. This institution is one of the rare places where Philosophical and Sociological Bases of Education are expounded as a formal disciplinary course. It is a part of the Master program and lays bare the foundations of education extensively. The domain of philosophy include the different schools that have a special relation with education while the domain of sociology institutionalize the social perspectives like family and society that have a marked role in education. Education itself is a broad topic and this too has various divisions that primarily include education of deviated population (socially, psychologically, physically handicapped or special), environmental education (sustainable development) and moral education (alleviation of crime and mental wellbeing). These have a direct link to the developmental planning of educational practices.
