Dear Sir, my son born is 12 years of age. Now he is studying in 7th standard of CBSE but while shifting, all other schools didn't give admission in 8th standard. Please tell me he is eligible for admitting 8th standard or not?

Age limit to get 8th standard admission in CBSE:-

Pre primary school- 3 to5 years

Primary School - 5 to 8 years

Middle school - 8 to 10 years

Secondary School -10 to 12 years

Higher Secondary School - 12 to 16 years

As far as the age criteria for CBSE School admissions to any class is concerned, then it suggests that the age of candidate should be as such that his/her age should be at least 14 years as on 1st October of that year in which the candidate has taken admission to his/her Class 10th standard.

So, being 12 years old, your son is definitely eligible for admission to Class 8th if he has cleared his Class 7th.
